The Organization

Books Up is a non-profit organisation that collects English books to provide didactic materials to schools, where education is still developing. The project and all activities -speeches in schools, fundraising, event organisation, etc.- are carried out by students, who dedicate hours of the subject Creativity, Action and Service. And now Books Up is also a channel where young students from different schools can stay connected; while they contribute to build a better world. Books Up works together with other organisations from different countries. The sum of efforts by both parties helps to promote education in societies where access to school is difficult.

I like to participate in the project because I think education is the passport to the future and the most powerful weapon to change the world.

It is so easy to do little actions to reach a better future for these students, who are just the same as us. It is a great satisfaction to be part of Books Up. I feel proud of the team work done and the contribution to help we provide to these children.

Since we were little, we have been able to attend to school because we have had enough resources. Today there are lots of children of our age who have to work in order to live and they have to leave school because they cannot afford it. I think that being part of this association it is a good way to help others.
